HPV-6 and HPV-10 are "low risk". Meaning, if you are at low risk, you have a slight chance to get a cancer associated with genital wart causes. HPV-16 has a high risk level of 50% and this type is responsible for cervical cancers related to genital warts.

HPV-16, HPV-18, HPV-31 and HPV-45 combine for an astonishing risk level of 80%.This percentage is the rest of the cancers associated with the sexual transmitted infection. 2/3 of people that engage in sexual contact with an infected partner will develop genital warts in three months. Genital wart causes are also related to the use of contraceptive pills (i.e. birth control), having sexual intercourse at a young age, engaging in promiscuous sex and not using protection while having sexual intercourse. There is no way to predict when they will appear, disappear or grow. Genital wart causes the infected person to not have symptoms for months or even years.
